If you pay a bargain basement price for something, don't expect a platinum super duper product. I bought this because it was cheap, and I only needed the handle and not the rest of it ( I put in an auto door lock and wasreplacing the other door components to match).It was cheaper to buy this full set then to buy just what I needed from another manufacturer. This matches well and was super easy to put in. It's not great quality but then again, I wasnt expecting great quality given the price point. My only gripe is that it was vacuum packed with sticky tape and it was aweful getting it out of the package and removing the sticky residue was a pain. 4BrokeJust bought this hand set in april and beginning of July it broke. Hubby took it apart but there is no fixing it. Very pissed. I should have sent it back right away because of how cheaply made. When we installed this handle, I immediately discovered that there is a difference in quality as well as price. From day one, we had to press the thumb button in just the right way, and then pull the door toward us to get it to open. Tonight, the thumb button snapped right off, leaving us locked out of our home. Fortunately we were able to jam a car key in where the thumb button used to be to jimmy the door open, but now we have to get a new lock. And this time we'll definitely be going name-brand and paying $100+. 1But it works and looks good. I feel safe and happy with the product ...It seems a little lightweight; a comment which was expressed in other reviews. But it works and looks good.
