Customer Reviews
solid and priced wellInstalled these for an 80 year old couple in their shower and tub both. Well designed. Solid feel, look good and look like they will last. As good as higher priced items but not cheap.5good productgood product5Flimsy Crooked Screwplate CoverI installed the Grab Bar using all 6 screws into a stud and it seems solid as a rock. I (170lbs) sat down and pulled myself up by the bar and it didn't so much as flex. The bar itself, the screwplates, and the screws are very high quality. My only criticism is for the thin screwplate covers which would not install evenly around the bar. As you can see in the image, it touches the bar on one side and has a gap of 1/8" on the other; both ends are like this. I would prefer to pay an extra few $ for a screw cover that matches the robustness of the bar and mounts evenly. Notes: I spent more time figuring out what was behind the wall than I did mounting the bar (I'm not a pro). Since I drilled through tile I used a 1/4" diamond-coated drill bit which worked great; you just have to go slow and keep it wet. The instructions call for 2 screws on each end which is all you could install due to screw hole spacing if you have a normal stud; I had backing for a shower door which we removed and it was wider than a normal stud. I calked the gaps around the screw holes, between the screw cover and wall, & between the screw cover and the grab bar; otherwise water would have gotten behind the screw cover & formed mold; plus it looks better.4Five Starsgreat for seniors5Same as the Good 'Safety First' Grab BarsGreat bars that have multiple mounting screw holes to accommodate various widths/locations of studs. Cover fits nicely over those screw holes. Finish is of high quality. Why the name change from 'Safety First' to 'Delta'? only marketing knows ..5Covers just plain will will not fitCovers just plain will will not fit - even shimmed the base slightly. This is on a perfectly flat surround. Lousy method of attaching them1Five StarsNice and sturdy and was perfect for my renovated bath!5Five Starsgood quality, sturdy, reasonable price5Five StarsA very sturdy grab bar, but it takes someone familiar with tools to install it.5Good Short Grab BarWorks great, cover alignment is difficult. Buy the L shape if you have any room, the straight arm is not enough for everyone to use.4
