    Chrome colored PLASTIC Description is deceptive- the clear acrylic part is fine but the "chrome" is thin, chrome-like PLASTIC and very cheap looking and feeling. This is way too much money for something that seems so cheap. I am returning this item and will be more careful reading descriptions. Disappointed, yet again, by another "Made in China" product. Amazon PLEASE start requiring a country of origin on your listings! 1Not as advertised... These are advertised as being made of "brushed metal" and acrylic. They are NOT metal at all. They are simply molded plastic that is finished to "look like" metal, which in time would only begin to flake off. They are certainly not worth the price. I am returning mine immediately. I will be looking for a more quality set. 1Great shakers High quality shakers. Pepper shaker is restaurant like. Shakers are made well and elegant. Thought they might be too tall due to what we used for years, but these are the perfect size. Very pleased. 5I was so bummed to see that the pepper shaker ... I was so bummed to see that the pepper shaker was already showing signs of wear and tear even though I ve only had it for a couple months! A plastic ring broke and is now in with the peppercorns! 1So far so good They are larger than I expected, which is a bonus. As other have noted, the "chrome" is plastic-coated "chrome tone." For the price, though, I can't complain. I got it primarily for the salt shaker; we have another, better, pepper mill, so I'm not concerned about the plastic on this one. 4Four Stars It looks classy and sturdy on our coffee shop dining tables. (first review).After some time, the chrome peeled off and greenish stuff remained in the hard to reach areas. I would not recommend this for restaurants, maybe for home use only. We had to take out the items from the tables because it became unsightly and unsanitary looking. (2nd review) 3Still a great set We have had one of these sets for many years. I especially like the pepper mill. When you get the desired setting on how coarse you like the pepper, it doesn't "change" the setting by having the knob move when you grind. Other pepper grinders have done this for us. The design is a bit different from our old pair as the salt now fills from a screw off top, but they look like the same, solid set we have used for years. Nice design. 5Nice Size I purchased these as an exact replacement for the pepper mill. The size is nice and large and the pepper grind is very good. The durability might be questionable , as the previous one self-destructed, but for the price and ease of use it's fine. 4Wonderful product Perfect size for my table. 5Wonderful Buy! These are classic styled and work great! They came to the house quickly and no assembly required! They are easy to refill 5
