After posting the review below HON, to my surprise, unannounced, sent me a replacement hydraulic piston. So my I've updated my review accordingly. If it lasts then this is a 5 star chair, at the moment I've upgraded from 2 to 4 stars. With the customer service as such perhaps the lack of the response to my email to customer support was a fluke, or perhaps they were not willing to provide support when they should have and it took a bad review to make them honor their warranty, who knows. Anyways, it's a generally a solid chair compared to others I've owned and I would take my chance and at this point would recommend purchasing this chair.Old Post Title: 10 months old, chair does not keep height; NO response from HON support. Old Post Review: Title pretty much says it all. Chair now drops 3-4 inches when I sit on it; piston mechanism does not last. Purchased in February 2018, contacted HON via customer support and no response. 4Five Stars Love this chair with my standing desk. 5Good chair. Solidly built. Comfortable. 4Good chair. Be careful which way you install footrest There is a rivet on the post that can get the foot rest stuck if you slip it past. Make sure to install the foot rest from the other direction. 5Stops holding up after a few months Comfortable but does not hold the adjusted position for long. 1Happy With This Chair I'm not positive it really deserves 4 stars, but as it's about the 10th chair of this type I've had over the past 8-10 years, it is by far the best, in it's price category. Build quality so far seems really good, including the fact that the height adjustment continues to work after many weeks of daily use -- all of the others would go gunny-bag after just a couple of weeks at most. It's not cheap, which is how I've gone in the past, but it's certainly not high-priced.I went without the arms, thinking I could always add them later, but I like it just fine without.The rest of the chair does what it's supposed to do, so no need for comment there.I'm really pleased that after 2 months I'm still pleased with the chair and that it still works and the seat fabric hasn't worn out. If you need a chair like this, and it's in your budget, I have no problems recommending it. 4
