    Requires extra partsbought these to replace my old plastic ones when I upgraded my light covers from cheap plastic ones to nicer glass ones. These are smaller than my old ones and are about the same size as the hole in the glass. They're designed to work with a larger ring and washer. You can buy all 3 together. On the other hand, if your cat has decided that the old one is such a good toy that she spirited it away while you were changing bulbs and cleaning the glass, it helps to be able to set things right with a replacement (for the threaded cap ... not the cat). For that, it deserves a sincere 4 stars.
